Excavators, dozers, and cranes get financed. If your name or your company’s name is on that note, the payment does not pause because a project shut down.
Payments that outlast the project
- A machine note or lease that may sit with you, a partner, or a co-signer at home
- Contractor benefits that can end when that project’s payroll ends
- Household income tied to hours you cannot store for a slow month
- Equipment debt a spouse may inherit without a way to keep the iron working
Separate the household bills from the equipment bills before you talk about an amount. They are both real, and they are not the same number.
Heavy-equipment questions
I only run machines the contractor owns. What is left to look at?
The machine is in the company name. Is this a business question or a family one?
Crane, dozer, and haul-truck work feel like different jobs. Does the title matter?
General information, not insurance advice. Products, availability and pricing vary by insurer and state.
